Russian Grenades of WW2

There were a few actual Russian grenades some more popular than others but the soldiers also liked to steal german grenades but make sure to check before buying. The main grenades for the Russians are as follows:

F1 Fragmentation grenade
Colours and casting varied on these grenades due to poor workmanship as you can see in the picture. You would be issued 3 of these to go in your 3 pocketed pouch. These were used throughout WW2

RGD-33
This grenade could be used as a defensive/offensive weapon depending on wether you put the fragmentation case on or took it off. This grenade was made from sheet metal and was a browny greenish colour. You would be issued 2 of these for your 2 pocketed pouch. These were issued in 1933 and used throughout the war.

RG-42
This was introduced in mid WW2 and was a fragmentation grenade as an emergency measure and would be issued in pairs for your 2 pocketed pouch. The colour was also a green

All grenades bought for reenacting need to be rubber or wood but double check before buying if wood you could made your own the easiets and best to make is probably the RGD-33 grenade
